Es el vocalista de la histórica banda de Rock Coruñesa La Penumbra, que por cierto regresan tras 20 años sin editar nada juntos. Inician una nueva etapa internacional con compañía en Londres. Todos los temas serán cantados en inglés, de ahí que pasan a llamarse The Penumbra, para diciembre se editará el álbum completo.
Xoán Lopez desde hace unos cuantos años edita discos con el seudónimo de Ion Bon concretamente desde 2009.

Kyle llegará el sábado 9 de septiembre en avión desde Copenhagen justo al acabar la gira con Lanois y antes de volver a incorporarse para el inicio de la misma en Canada. Kyle vive en Los Ángeles y llegará a A Coruña para grabar en el estudio de Ion Bon, o de Xoán Lopez o de la histórica banda de Rock La Penumbra. Sabemos que estará y dormirá en su casa unos días.
En definitiva, parece que el enlace en España del Universo Lanois aún cuando pasa bastante tiempo en Madrid y Londres, ha nacido y vive en A Coruña y le llaman Bon por ahí adelante, o más galaicamente Xoán , o cómo decían en el noventa: el cantante de La Penumbra.
